Growing up, I witnessed two very different realities. I saw dementia touch parts of my family, bringing uncertainty, loss and fear. Yet I also watched my parents grow older while remaining active, curious, independent and deeply engaged with life. My father stayed mentally sharp well into his nineties, challenging many assumptions about what ageing had to look like.
That contrast sparked a fascination with the brain and the factors that shape its health throughout life.
The more I learned, the more hopeful the story became.
Today we know that many of the factors linked to brain health are woven into how we move, eat, sleep, breathe, connect and care for ourselves every day. While there are no guarantees, there is often far more we can do than we once believed.
DEAR BRAIN was created to share that knowledge in a practical, accessible and hopeful way — and to help change the conversation around dementia from fear and inevitability to possibility, prevention and empowerment.
My Approach
Now in my forties, I find myself navigating many of the same questions as the people I work with: changing hormones, perimenopause, stress, sleep, energy, memory lapses, and the challenge of caring for our future selves while managing the demands of everyday life.
I believe health is never shaped by a single decision, supplement or intervention. It is built through the accumulation of small choices, daily habits and acts of care that support us over time.
My work combines brain health, dementia prevention, nutrition, movement, breathing, sleep, stress management and community — because our brains do not exist in isolation from the rest of our lives.

A Personal Belief
I believe ageing is a privilege, denied to many.
I believe curiosity can be cultivated, resilience can be strengthened and health can be supported at every stage of life.
And I believe that while dementia may be part of some people's story, it doesn't have to be the only story we tell.
